The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, so I couldn’t work after hours, and there was no breakfast. Breakfast is an important meal of the day, and I felt cheated and really disappointed. I was given just one towel, felt I was received badly, and found my room in poor condition. Still, I do like the place. I may book again to see if that changes my bad impression.

The pool and garden are beautiful, and there’s a little lawn seating area where you can have coffee outside. Management were friendly and the service was great. My room had an air conditioner, adaptor, towel, kettle, fridge, microwave and DSTV if you feel like staying in, which made things easy and convenient. Breakfast needs to be arranged and booked in advance.

The view from the breakfast table was nice, and the staff were helpful. It’s affordable and pleasant, with easy access to main roads and shops, while still far enough away to avoid the everyday bustle.

The TV didn’t work, and the electric gate was broken. When we asked for help getting out, we were met with a bad attitude. The manager was very unpleasant too. After a long trip, we tried to make food at the lapa braai and were chased away. She said it closed at 10pm on Friday, though the signs said 11pm. Not a pleasant stay, and this place won’t see me again soon.
