The accommodation was clean and beautiful, but breakfast lacked variety since the same menu was served throughout the stay. Children aren’t allowed, and there are no cellphones in public areas, which was new to me. Most guests seemed to be older people, predominantly from Europe.

The Lodge was a great place to unwind for six glorious days, with a lovely pool, garden and ambience. The rooms were comfortable and very well equipped, and all TV channels were included. It’s quiet and secure, and the hosts are caring and exceptional. Communication was easy.

The suite was incredibly comfortable and well equipped, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The surroundings were superb, and the advice about local sights was great. What a wonderful stay. I’ll be back.

I loved my stay here and will definitely come back when I return. René and Andrew are wonderful, with the charm, elegance and hospitality I associate with South Africa. The place is clean, quiet, safe and gated, with a great view of the mountain.
