Johann is a great host, and he offers really good tips. For him, renting out flats is much more than handing over keys. The flat is super comfy and has everything you need, including a washing machine and dryer. It’s a quiet location and handy for getting to the Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach (penguins), or Cape Town. It’s also an easy drive from the airport, with a supermarket, bars, and other things you need in the neighbourhood. We went to Foxxcroft restaurant, the sister gourmet restaurant to la colombe, and they accept kids. Our kids loved it! We also visited Klein Constantia, famous for its sweet wines, but wouldn’t particularly recommend it. We later learned from Johann that Groot Constantia is a better choice. I’d definitely go back.

Johann was outstanding from booking through check-out. He was so helpful and made our stay extra special. The apartment at DK Villas the Boardwalk is beautiful, immaculate, and has everything you need, plus more. It’s well located near everything, with a nice stroll to the beach. Thanks Johann for being part of our wonderful Cape Town stay. We’re looking forward to coming back to DK villas on our next trip.

Johann was welcoming, kept us updated each day about load shedding times, and suggested great things to do in the area. We stayed in September 2022 and had a fantastic time. The apartment was spacious, very clean, and well kept. It had most of the essentials for cooking, drinks, coffee, dishes, and laundry. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hout Bay or Cape Town.

The apartment and balcony looked even better in person than in the pictures, and the view was breathtaking. It was easy and safe to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. We were two couples staying for two weeks, and the apartment helped make the vacation so great. Johann made everything run smoothly from arrival to departure, and when we needed help he responded within minutes. Thank you for making our stay perfect. We’ll be back!
