The rooms are spacious, but basic, and need a revamp to match a five-star boutique hotel. This was a large B&B with a small buffet and limited breakfast choices, and the food wasn't great. The in-room espresso machine had no sweeteners or sealed milk portions, just a small open jar of milk in the fridge, and the coffee pods felt cheap and fake. The service and staff need training too. We stayed for two nights, and this didn't come close to a five-star experience. We usually pay extra for that kind of boutique hotel stay, but here the experience didn't match the price. I'd choose a B&B and save the money, or look at other options.

The staff were so kind and service-minded, and every detail made the stay feel special, including the rooms being prepared for the night. The whole property was spotlessly clean, with the feel of a queen in an english garden. Our room was beautiful and quiet at night, the bed was amazing, and the blanket was the best I've ever had in a hotel. I also had the best piece of duck I've ever eaten for dinner. I'm so grateful and hope to return soon.

We loved our four nights at Glen Avon Lodge in February 2025. Its location made daily outings, winery visits, and meals out convenient, and we always felt safe. Peddlars is just a handy five-minute walk away, and we'd recommend it too. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean, and well maintained. We also enjoyed the garden and pool at any time of day, and all the staff were helpful, accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with.

During my November and December 2024 stay at Glen Avon, the setting, accommodation, food, and staff were all fantastic. Each morning we were served a spectacular breakfast by lovely people. The pool was great, the gardens were well kept, and shops, restaurants, bars, and other places were close by. It was an incredible stay all around, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
