The manor and garden are spectacular, and there's a fantastic view of the table mountain. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, in a beautiful venue in a very posh residential area. The service doesn't match the setting, though. Breakfast is very basic, and I didn't find it very good value for money.

It's beautiful inside and out, in a great spot in the southern suburbs. The rooms are all heated, and the cozy library and fireplace must be especially nice in winter. Breakfast can take a while, so if you're in a hurry, get down to breakas early.

The staff were friendly without getting in the way, and the beds were really comfortable. It's a massive 2,2ha property, over 90 years old but very well maintained, with large rooms. Excellent guesthouse.

I haven't stayed overnight, but from how it looks, there's lots of space and it's traditional, old, very upmarket and private. Centrally located in the heart of Cape Town's Bishopscourt Claremont area, which is very popular.

The area is beautiful and quiet, but the place feels quite dated, with a 60's style. It needs updating.
