It’s close to the city centre and V&A, and the place feels secure. The kitchen and bathroom are shared. I wish I’d known before paying that daily room cleaning costs extra. Tina hosted me so well. Breakfast was simple, not an English breakfast. There was an A/C, fan, or heater available since it was cold.

We had a much-needed, lovely break and would stay again. Booking was straightforward, and the host checked in with us regularly. Susan, the housekeeper, was friendly and very accommodating. I’d recommend it, 10/10.

Being close to the Waterfront, Table Mountain, and other tourist spots made our stay much better. We had a delightful two-night visit at Happy Home Woodstock in the historic Woodstock suburb. The building has an aged charm, but it’s well maintained and comfortable.

The unit itself is very nice and had enough room for our family, but we left after one night and found another guest house. Homeless people nearby use the outside wall to urinate, so the patio smelled, and the odor came in through the windows at night. They also spent the night fighting and sorting cans. None of us slept, and I couldn’t have my family stay there any longer. We lost the money, but I felt we had to move.
