The owners make you feel welcome straight away, and the setting feels perfectly safe. For anyone driving around Cape Town, this privately run hotel could be a good base for a visit to or from the city. It has the feel of somewhere in northwest London or Somerset. Older guests may think of the British TV series 'Fawlty Tours', since Judy and Graham's conversations often brought Basil Fawlty and Sybil to mind in a funny way. I took off a star because it's close to the Cricket & Rugby Stadium, where events bring heavy traffic jams.

The hosts were incredibly kind, especially Graham, who was friendly and always happy to give advice or help. He even picked us up from the airport late at night for a very reasonable cost. We've stayed at Hedge House twice, and each time it was exactly what we wanted. It's a welcoming home with tasteful furnishings in a quiet part of CT, and the large rooms have all the comforts. An ideal stay, and one I'd recommend to anyone.

We went to Hedge House for our honeymoon with our 10 month old, and it's a real home away from home. Graham and Judy made us feel relaxed and so welcome, and took extra care to make sure the baby was looked after. The beautiful rooms and gorgeous gardens make it such a haven. They communicated so well before and during our stay, and we're already making plans to return. Many thanks to everyone at Hedge House, including Jellybean!

The upstairs rooms were lovely, and I can highly recommend them. Breakfast was delicious, and the B&B owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. We had a brilliant stay and will be back as soon as we can.
