Heriot Apartment 1015

I was disappointed by the service and the setup. I didn’t feel safe in that part of the city, and the security agent wouldn’t help with general information. The reception employees struggled to be pleasant, and they close at 6 pm. When I asked for more toilet paper, I was told they only provide the first roll 😳. The room was modern, but the mattress was uncomfortable. The kitchen had just two sets of dishes, so it was very minimally equipped, and there were no wine glasses.

The street is nice, close to the waterfront and Saint George Mall, though it’s on a shadier side of town. Rooms were okay, and the service was very kind. Once inside, it felt very secure, but the bed was a bit low and had a lower-quality mattress. EDIT: I took off a star because they don’t provide extra rolls of toilet paper!

The internet at the Heriot was some of the best I’ve had in a hotel room, and the unit was reasonably equipped. Whenever I spoke with staff, they were very friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely hard, way beyond the firm mattress I usually like. Guests were noisy all night, and there was often a cannabis smell in the passageways. Our unit was hot and poorly ventilated. The road outside the hotel is badly managed, and the bookable parking garage is difficult to enter, with a very steep, curved ramp.

Shops and transport are easy to reach on foot, and the area felt fairly safe even at night. The place was clean and secure, with 24-hour security and no load shedding. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
