Hideaway Beach Villa

The bed was comfortable, the blankets were warm, the WiFi worked well, and towels were provided. Everything else was a letdown. The photos are misleading, and the apartments are much smaller than advertised. The room we booked wasn't available and was out of service. There were cockroaches, no hot water when we needed it, no TV, and no toiletries. The apartment wasn't maintained properly, and the shower door had come off. The geyser made noise all day, even though we had no hot water.

The view was the one good thing. We stayed about an hour before deciding to head home, since we couldn't spend even one night there. The place is in very poor repair, with things coming apart both inside and outside the apartments. It was clean, but cleaning can't fix the underlying problems. The rooms are tiny, the property looks nothing like the photos, and there isn't enough parking for more than two cars. There's no upkeep at all. Something needs to be done. Thanks for wasting our money.

We'd been looking forward to this holiday, so arriving to a place that looks nothing like the photos was awful. We had just checked in, and I want my money back. The room is tiny, the basin is ridiculously small for brushing your teeth, there's no shower door, the floor is breaking up and feels unsafe to walk on, and the stove can't be used. What exactly makes this a superior room? I know the booking is non-refundable, but when what you paid for is this bad and so different from the pictures, shouldn't you get a refund? This looks like a scam. I'll attach photos showing the condition of the place.

We ended up having to find somewhere else to stay at considerable expense, and our anniversary and Valentine's week plans were ruined. We'd booked through BOOKING.COM, and only looked at the reviews after committing. When we arrived, the place was shabby and neglected: the couch was filthy and stained, wood was peeling away from the wall unit, and the kitchenette stove had only two knobs. We weren't willing to risk sleeping in the beds. Hideaway should be avoided. BOOKING.COM should have taken the listing down long ago after all those negative reviews, and I wouldn't recommend booking through them either.
