Instow Cottage in Cape Town

The hosts are so welcoming, and they always share ideas for local places to eat. I first came in October 2023, then returned in January 2024. Now January has become my yearly tradition. Each visit has topped the one before, and I'll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend! :)

The garden and private pool made for a really peaceful stay, tucked away from the road, and the interior was lovely and well cared for. Instow is a cozy, spotless little hideaway in Sea Point, only a short walk from the main promenade. It was my first time in Cape Town and such a magical trip. Can't wait to come back 🌞

I loved spending sunny afternoons on the deck by the pool with local wine, and the outdoor space was fantastic. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished, modern, full of natural light, and incredibly clean. Management was great, and it was reassuring to know security was available if needed. The beach, cafes and shops were all within walking distance. As a woman, I felt totally safe walking to the beaches by myself. It was also really easy to arrange wine tours from the house. A perfect week in the sun with friends to escape London's winter.

From the deck, we had a dreamy view up toward Lion's Head. It was easy to walk down to the high street for cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, and the beach was close too. Getting into town or heading up to Lion's Head and Table Mountain was straightforward. Despite being so well placed, Instow Cottage was surprisingly quiet. The managing team kept it immaculate throughout our delightful stay.
