We had a wonderful five nights at the Villa, and it exceeded what we expected. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was good, and the outdoor facilities were great. Ronald, the housekeeper and manager, was exceptional with help and assistance, and with arranging cleaning and property maintenance. Thank you, Ronald. I’d highly recommend staying here!

I’m disgusted by how our stay was handled. We spent over R30k on this place for my husband’s birthday trip, but the fridge didn’t work throughout our stay. Our food kept going bad, and every day we had to buy ice to try to keep it and our drinks cold. His birthday was ruined. When my husband and his friends first arrived, the same people told him he didn’t look like someone who could behave properly and said they were sure he’d lose his deposit. I’m left wondering whether every black person visiting this place is treated this way. On checkout, 05 August, the Total Stay manager was rude and disrespectful. He said he’d keep R1k from my husband’s R10k deposit because of a stain on the table, called ADT, and refused to return the full amount. I’ve heard this isn’t the first time Total Stay managers have kept people’s deposits like this. We chose Cape Town Camps Bay for his birthday on 2 August, and the whole experience was horrible.

Richard, who looked after us, was great. The house itself was good, though it had a few small issues that could use some maintenance.
