The driveway was the only drawback for me. It felt like you needed to be a very skilled driver to manage it. Otherwise, the place has a lovely feel, sits on a hill, and has the best views. K, the manager, was the most hospitable host I've come across. She truly cared about my wellbeing, helped with my luggage, and sorted things out when I left the car in an awkward spot.

I stayed at Lakeside Lodge from 5 January - 5 March 2022, and now I have to leave the country. I'm really going to miss L.L 😢. It was peaceful and safe, with big rooms, beautiful views, and everything I needed. The place was well equipped, and I loved the hosts and the other residents. Thanks to Karlien, Marina and Fred for being so lovely. I'll definitely come back when I'm in SA again!

My room looked out at the mountain, and I found the view restful. I could watch hikers passing by, and nobody disturbed me. The bed was comfortable too. The hostess was lovely and kind, and the surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. Thanks Karlien et AL.

The lounge and dining areas were roomy and comfortable, and there was a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals. The small pool had a nice view, and the staff were friendly, as was the little dog. It's in a suburb outside Cape Town, close enough to the beach and shops. Our room was clean and comfortable, though getting around meant climbing what seemed like endless flights of stairs. I'd highly recommend driving around the Cape Peninsula to take in the area's beauty.

We had a great relaxing vacation here. The area felt safe and lovely, with plenty of useful places within walking distance. The lodge itself was beautiful and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
