Manor on the Bay

The rooms, staff, breakfast and laundry service were all excellent. They washed and ironed my clothes, and everything came back looking like new, which is lovely when you’re travelling. Sebastiaan was also kind enough to share some good tips for exploring the area. It was our first time in Gordan Bay, and we stayed two nights at this beautiful, classic-style manor before moving on. Sebastiaan, the owner, welcomed us warmly. He and his wife Jenny and son had moved there 18 months earlier and bought the place. Thanks, Sebas! We hope to see you again.

The view was the highlight for us, with the sea on one side and mountains on the other. The room was beautiful, and the bathroom was huge. My husband and I needed somewhere to stay for a local wedding that began at 14:00, so I called the number on the website to ask about checking in early. Sebastiaan was happy to help and made sure the room was ready ahead of time. We were offered the sea view room because us Vaalies are hungry for a sea view, and I was blown away when we arrived. If you’re in Gordon’s Bay, stay here. I’m definitely coming back for longer. Sebastiaan, you and your family are excellent. A thousand thanks again for all your effort. We hope to see you soon.

The room was fantastic and spacious, with lovely views across the bay and Table Mountain in the distance. Breakfast was outstanding, and the staff were lovely. Sebastiaan was a warm, friendly host who couldn’t have been more helpful. Manor on the Bay is beautifully placed overlooking the water, with a handful of lovely restaurants just a short stroll away. Our first visit to Gordon’s Bay was made special by this wonderful place, and we’ll certainly return.

Our guest rooms at the top of the property looked across the bay, with magnificent views from sunrise to sunset and into the evening. The pool and grounds were carefully planted and maintained, and the beach is just across the street, with a paved path for walks throughout the day. This gracious manor house had everything we could want. The main building and guest rooms were beautifully furnished down to the smallest details, and everything was clean, cared for and thoughtfully prepared. We thank the owners for a perfect stay and are genuinely pleased to recommend it.
