The views were astonishing, and we got up early to catch the sunrise. We felt right at home at Moonglow Guesthouse and would love to return. We were there for just one night while visiting family, and it turned into a fantastic stay. Gillian made us a delicious breakfast and made sure we could get into our room easily despite arriving late in the day. The rooms suited us perfectly, with thoughtful extras like a small sewing kit. There’s no air-conditioning, but the overhead fan was enough for us. We’d heard privacy might have been an issue before, but the balcony dividers meant we felt private and secure. The ocean view from my room was unbeatable, and the beach was only a short walk away. I came to Cape Town for a field course, and our group stayed here for six nights. The room was lovely, with comfortable beds, and the host was kind and made sure everyone had what they needed. I’d absolutely recommend this guest house.

The owner is lovely, and breakfast is delicious. It’s a beautiful spot with spacious rooms and an amazing view. I highly recommend staying here when you’re in the Cape Town area.

I liked having the light, airy shared space to get some work done during the day. The view from the office was pretty epic. The room was lovely, the bed comfy, and Gillian is a superb host, attentive and polite, with a great breakfast. The guesthouse sits conveniently between Kalk Bay and Simon's Town, where I found some superb restaurants. There’s also a mini mall with two supermarkets a short walk away. What a lovely place to stay.
