Newlands Guest House

Sarah even arranged an early morning car to the airport, so leaving was stress-free. She was friendly, helpful, and made sure I had what I needed throughout my stay at Newlands Guesthouse. The room was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spotless. I had a wonderful visit and would wholeheartedly recommend it as a cozy place to stay.

The breakfast table was such a treat, with rooibos tea and conversations with couples from around the world. I'm so grateful for this week, and the amazing views, safe area, and closeness to most attractions made it special. Newlands Guest house was warm, cozy, and comfortable, and Sarah was a delight. She was very helpful and had great tips and suggestions. She knows Cape weather better than any weather app. I'll definitely be back. If you're in Cape town, stay here.

Sarah and John made my friend and me feel welcome when he came from the UK for his first visit to South Africa. Their guest house is in one of my favorite parts of Cape Town, with restaurants and pubs, a Woolies food store, a pharmacy, and a bookshop all within walking distance. It's also centrally located for the V&A, Kirstenbosch, Constantia Valley wine farms, Newlands train station, City Bowl, and the Table Mountain cable car, all a short Uber ride or walk away. Expect comfortable lodgings, tasty breakfasts, and excellent hosts.

In 50 years, this is the best place I've ever stayed. The hosts, John and Sarah, were so personable that I feel like we'll be friends for life. The attention to detail was outstanding 👏. Newlands is a great place to stay, with wonderful people, a fabulous place, food, and room. Thank you so much, John and Sarah. You're outstanding people and perfect hosts! Best wishes, Simon.
