We’re in room 212, exhausted and sitting in the two chairs because the bed is infested with bedbugs. We couldn’t get anyone on the phone. The bedding is old, and there are chipped cups and glasses in the room. My daughter had sacrificed to give me a night away from home, so this is such a disappointment and I feel bad for her. The pin they gave us was wrong, so we had to be redirected to collect the key. It’s also a bit noisy, and there’s no aircon in the room.

I hated my stay. There was no bath towel, so I had to buy one. The hand soap pump didn’t work, there was no hand lotion, and no drying cloth, so I put the dishes back in the sink to dry. There also wasn’t a round plug for the hair dryer. I stayed six nights without knowing whether cleaning happened or whether I could ask for it. No one explained how to use the washing machine or where to empty the bin, which started to smell after several days. Arriving at 8pm, I had no milk for my first tea or coffee, and the coffee sachets weren’t satisfactory. Even a small welcome supply, one coffee, one rooibos and one Five Roses, would have helped. Collecting the key was very inconvenient. I had a photo of keybox C1 but no idea where to find it at that hour. Why couldn’t the keys be kept in a box at the Apartments with security? At checkout they told me to leave the keys on the kitchen counter and exit as usual. But you can’t leave the building without the tag. The security guard wouldn’t take it, so I had to leave it on the floor of the security guard office.

My room smells of smoke, and it’s affecting my health. I asked to move rooms, but they couldn’t help. Honestly, they deserve zero stars. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The gardens are beautiful, and the property is stylish, modern, neat and secure. It’s right next to Ratanga Park, with high-security access control.
