The staff did keep trying to help, and that’s the one star. The other four are off because the owner stubbornly refused to refund us, saying there was internet in the lobby. We booked this hotel because we needed reliable internet for one last important work presentation before starting our holiday. Instead, we got cellar room 6 beside the spa, where there was no internet. Don’t take that room if you need Wi-Fi. We asked about moving to a better room, but the hotel was fully booked. We needed somewhere quiet for the presentation, not the lobby, so we couldn’t stay. On top of that, the toilet was blocked and unusable. For what it offers, this place costs far too much. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Save your money and book an Airbnb. I usually prefer supporting hotels because Airbnb is taking over, but this hotel is definitely not somewhere I’d recommend staying.

Everyone I met on staff was kind and willing to help with anything, especially the Manager. I was happy with breakfast too, and enjoyed my stay enough to add another night.

We tried the half day spa special and found it wonderfully relaxing. The treatments were lovely, and our therapists Angie and Juliet were both kind and very professional. There was calming music, plus a complimentary drink of our choice, bubbly or juice, with a little chocolate. The staff were friendly throughout.

The massage and pedicure were phenomenal. I’m usually very ticklish and squirmish when someone touches me, so I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and well lit for the occasion.

We ended up having to find another hotel. The room was filthy, with black mould on the curtains and in the shower, plus a very dirty carpet. They told us the bed had been changed, but it hadn’t. There was makeup and dirt all over the bedding. They offered to change it, but said they couldn’t replace the pillows, which had also been used and had makeup and dirt on them. It was a really bad experience.
