My colleague said the room itself was beautiful, but the bathroom being outside was inconvenient. While showering, he could hear the guest using the toilet. He also found the breakfast boring compared with other places we’ve booked, and parking is on the street. He wasn’t impressed with the host either, who came across as though hosting him was a favor.

The neighborhood was lovely and close to the botanical garden, and the pool area had a nice view. But that area felt old, and dogs were around and swimming in the pool. I have an allergy, and I think guests should be told about the animals in advance. We wouldn’t have booked if we’d known. We stayed two days in January, and the place looked much better in the online photos. Our booking was for two separate rooms with a view, but we arrived to find one large room with no view for the three of us.

The layout of the house made it easy to enjoy both some independence and the shared spaces. Kshe and Herman were warm and helpful, made check-in and checkout quick, and did more than expected to make the stay enjoyable. The room felt airy and comfortable, with lovely views of Newlands, access to Netflix, and a delightful pool area. The detached bathroom was neat, clean, and private. Breakfast was delicious too.

Breakfast was a real highlight and a great start to each day, and the staff always checked that I was comfortable. The rooms were warm and cozy, with everything I needed. The deck and pool had amazing views, so I’d really recommend having sundowners there. From booking with Marthin to being welcomed and shown my room by Pixie and Herman, everyone was friendly and caring. Panorama guest house went beyond what I expected. Great value, and I can’t wait to return!

A quiet, lovely visit, with a cozy and elegant room and a beautiful view. The host was welcoming and very helpful. We finished our stay with a pleasant walk in the forest. Thanks for such a nice experience, we’ll be back soon. Regards, Pieter & Marli.
