Perspectives 803 - Adults Only

The security here is very strict, but it does make us feel safe. The building is great, and maintenance has been fantastic. When I report something, they usually fix it in under 12 hours, depending on the day.

I really liked the rooftop pool and the convenience of living at Perspective, so I might live there again for the views and location. The laundry room was helpful since my apartment had no washer, and my landlady was super nice. Still, my unit, 307#, was sold after I moved in 2020, and cockroaches were a problem from the first month I lived there with my roommate. I later heard a couple of other tenants had the same issue. The garbage area was always smelly and dirty. Reception was often no help, with staff lacking people skills and basic building information, including who to contact about maintenance. At the time, the gym had only two pieces of equipment, which was disappointing for someone who loves working out. I hope things have improved.

I've lived here since the COVID-19 period, and I like the atmosphere and the surroundings. The building feels exceptionally safe. The Airbnb guests can be noisy, though. Otherwise, the atmosphere is always good.

At 02:45 today, I told the woman at the front desk which unit I wanted to visit. After waiting about a minute and a half, I asked again while she was sitting there doing nothing. She then said the door magnet had been released the whole time. The little boom doesn't open, the magnet just unlocks it, so I asked why she hadn't told me it was open. She lost her temper, shouted that I couldn't go in, swore at me and chased me out. The disrespect and rudeness were unbelievable. I'll take this as far as I need to.
