Premier Hotel Cape Town

I came away grateful to this lovely place and everyone working there. Before booking, I had doubts because of some of the reviews I'd seen, but my holiday here changed my mind. The room was spotless and clearly well looked after, and I know what I'm talking about. The hospitality felt like something that's nearly disappeared in Europe, yet it's still very much here. The service deserves every star. My thanks and respect to the staff. I hope there's a room for me when I return.

The staff were so kind and helpful, and the location made it easy to enjoy the coast. It's about five minutes from a lovely waterfront where you can walk beside the ocean for ages. The trail up Lion Head is around twenty minutes away, with amazing views of the sea and Table Mountain from the top. Our room was beautiful, with waves crashing against the rocks right in view.

A few minutes' walk from the beach is about the only thing that worked for us. I asked for a beach view and specified what I wanted, but we ended up on the first floor without one. I'd also requested two separate beds, yet our first room had just one, so we had to move. The rooms were noisy and pretty dirty. There were old plates and mugs with food stuck on them, and reception had to be called twice before the dirty dishes and glasses were taken away. The carpet was grimy, the bathroom had old water stains, and the counters hadn't been wiped. Not a Premier Hotel experience, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We slept really well in the comfortable beds, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The seaside is only two minutes away, with lovely views, and breakfast was delicious.
