Sunsquare Cape Town City Bowl

That 11th floor view was something special to wake up to. We were there in December, and the location was great too. Our executive suite was stunning, comfortable and thoughtfully done, with nothing I could fault. Breakfast had a great variety, and the bacon and omelette were the best! 14 Stories, one of Cape Town's vibey rooftop bars, is just off the pool area. That means it can get busier around the pool in the late afternoon and evening. For a quiet swim, go during the day. For sunset cocktails, 14 Stories is the place, with unbeatable atmosphere and views.

Our room on the 7th floor at Sun Square Cape Town City Bowl was fantastic: clean, comfortable, quiet and with a good view. We were meant to stay next door at the Stay Easy Hotel, but it was full, so we got upgraded. Breakfast was great and the service excellent, especially at reception. The rooftop terrace, pool and restaurant on the 14th floor had an amazing view over the city. We'll surely visit again.

The ocean and mountain views are great, and there's a lovely indoor rooftop pool and bar. It's centrally placed in the city center, close to waterfront. The rooms feel modern and comfortable, though a little cramped. Linen and towels were lovely, and everything was very clean. Very well priced and great value for money.

Parking entry might confuse first time visitors, since there isn't parking at the front entrance. The kids loved the hotel, though they had to go a long way to find a vending machine for a late night snack. It's a nice place with neat, tidy rooms and modern finishes. Great feel, magnificent view, and a stunning bar and pool.
