Table Mountain Villa

We felt comfortable right away and really didn’t want to leave this beautifully designed home in such a lovely setting. It was cloudy when we arrived, so waking up the next morning to a magnificent view of Table mountain from the house and lovely decks was a wonderful surprise. We’ve told all our friends what an amazing stay we had at the Villa. If you step out the back gate, you’re literally in the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, one of Cape Town’s most important attractions, with trails up Table Mountain itself. The Newlands neighborhood also has the Montebello Design Center, and downtown Cape Town is very near by. Jonathan was a gracious host who helped with all the little details that made our stay easier. It was also special to arrange our accommodation through a South African property management company. If you’re visiting Cape Town, you must stay at Table Mountain Villa.

The layout makes this house both practical and stunning, and the design gives you the feeling of living among the trees against the mountain. Upstairs, there are lovely views of the mountain and harbour. The spacious main bedroom opens onto a beautiful terrace and garden, with a private 14m lap pool right there. Jonathan was the best host. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back.

We loved how close the villa is to Kirstenbosch, especially with its own private entrance to the gardens. The hosts, Jonathan and his staff, were warm and friendly, and helped whenever we needed advice. The views and sounds of nature are breathtaking, yet downtown Cape Town is only 10/15 minutes away. Everything was beautiful. It was one of my favorite places I've stayed in Cape Town, and I'd definitely like to return next year.

The pool is bigger than it looks in the photos, so it's actually large enough to swim for exercise. Kirstenbosch Gardens is right nearby too. The house sits on the slopes of Table Mountain, with big bedrooms, a huge kitchen and dining area, and a large deck for taking in the view. It's quiet and comfortable. Getting around is easy, with main roads close by for a quick drive into the city, out to the Peninsula and Cape Point, or across to the suburbs west of the mountain. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.
