The Andros Deluxe Boutique Hotel

There’s a calm feel to this boutique hotel, with neutral colors, natural light and local art. In Claremont, Cape Town, it brings heritage together with modern luxury. The staff go out of their way to make you feel valued, and the rooms are spacious and luxurious, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Veld & Vine Bistro serves farm-to-fork food, while 1928 Craft Bar has fine wines and craft cocktails. A definite must visit, highly recommended.

The garden was a real highlight, lush and manicured, and because the hotel sits back from the road it felt like a peaceful, private oasis. We also loved the interiors. The Sabi Sabi Collection’s style comes through in the elegant lounges and the 'Safari Library' from the photos. The sunroom’s botanical wallpaper was a favorite, and the entrance and dining areas were beautifully arranged, right down to the checkered floors and cozy bar. It’s in a lovely, quiet residential area, but still gets you into Cape Town city centre in no time. Such a restful place to return to after a busy day exploring. We’d definitely stay again.

The staff are warm, welcoming and very accommodating, with big smiles that make the place feel homely. It’s also well run, and I’ll definitely return. The Claremont Boutique Hotel is a classic luxury option near Newlands, Cape Town, with established gardens and beautifully appointed rooms. A unique place to stay while exploring South Africa and the greater Cape Town area.

The recent changes have taken away some of the hotel’s romantic charm. The cognac room used to feel truly decadent. I hope property owners in this area make changes that suit the classic styles of these buildings.
