The Carrington Luxury Apartments

It felt like a fully equipped apartment, and the facilities had everything I needed. The place was clean and the staff were really friendly. But we couldn’t sleep because of the noise. On the first night, someone banged on our door at 1:34 am, which was extremely scary. The walls were thin enough that I could hear the neighbors talking, and the pillows were very uncomfortable. There was no aircon, so the room got really hot, and the windows were hard to open. The shower door also felt like it was about to break. Our room’s wifi didn’t work, but staff connected us to a different room.

There was no parking or airconditioning, and the room wasn’t ready when I arrived. Food from the previous occupants was still in the microwave. I was also surprised by a R1000.00 deposit, which they said would take 5-7 days to refund. I hope LekkeSlaap stops using them.

There’s no aircon or parking. It’s relatively cheap, though, and otherwise it’s a fine hotel.

Street parking added to the stress because I kept worrying the car might be broken into. The unit has no AC, gets hot, and the windows can’t even be opened. Noise from the nightclub downstairs and the surrounding area was unbelievable, day and night. We couldn’t sleep on two of our five nights and had to cut our holiday short. Worst location for this unit. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
