We stayed for eight nights in December 2025 with our daughter, and the staff gave us extraordinary service. By the second morning, they already knew which drinks we wanted at breakfast. Breakfast was great, and we enjoyed some lovely dinners too. The two pool areas were great for swimming and relaxing, and the gardens were nice to walk through. When we’re back in the Mother city, we hope to stay again. Thanks to the staff for such great service.

The Cellars-Hohenort is still one of our favourite places to stay in the Western Cape. Its award-winning gardens are peaceful, beautifully maintained, and special enough to be a destination in their own right. What keeps us coming back is the hospitality. Staff at every level are warm, professional, and attentive, with care that makes everything feel easy and considered from arrival to departure. We visit often and have never had an issue. Every stay has been comfortable, seamless, and memorable. A truly outstanding hotel that sets a high standard for luxury hospitality in the Cape.

Mduduzi served us lunch and was fantastic, friendly, pleasant, and funny. The beautiful setting still has a genuine five star feel, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate our anniversary. We returned to The Cellars-Hohenhort for lunch on our 3rd anniversary, three years after getting married there. It was a special visit and, as always, a top experience.

I work in hospitality and have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world, and this was quite frankly the best one I’ve ever experienced. Everything was considered, from start to finish. Every team member was exceptional. Ashwin gave us the best hotel welcome we’ve ever had, and was kind and attentive throughout. Quanita looked after us so well in the restaurant, delivering warm, natural service like a true hospitality professional. Can’t wait for my next visit in 2026!

For an intimate wedding, it’s hard to beat the romantic gardens at The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel. The whole place feels warm and welcoming, with an elegant, timeless look that never gets stuffy. The different spaces connect beautifully, too. Such a gorgeous venue.
