I’d happily return, even on my own as a woman, and would recommend this accommodation to anyone. I spent six months here and felt comfortable the whole time. The staff were always caring and kind, and helped me feel safe even though the neighborhood itself isn’t the safest. The location is great, the roof terrace is beautiful, and the rooms were consistently clean and just right.

Esther made our visit unforgettable. She was warm, knew her stuff, and was always ready to help. Our room was spotless and spacious, and suited our needs perfectly. We had an incredible stay at the Reserve and can’t wait to return.

The Reserve gives good value for money, and it’s clean and secure with friendly, excellent staff. The best thing about it is its spot in the heart of the city, with all kinds of goods and services within walking distance. That central location also means noise around the clock. The old building has plenty of charm, though it needs a lot of maintenance. Its thin windows let in the cold antarctic wind. The unit is self-catering, which works well if you like cooking, but the refrigerator is loud. Even with those annoyances, being in one of the world’s most beautiful cities is hard to beat.

There’s a beautifully restored interior that makes this a great venue for functions. Walking across the red carpet feels like stepping back in time, and there’s history to explore inside. Ask for a tour of the old banking vaults in the basement. It’s next to the #CapeTown #Taj #hotel.

Room 310 made our anniversary weekend really special. We checked in Friday the 29th and left on 30 June 2024. A huge thank you to Esther and all the staff for going out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home. WOW, we had an amazing stay!
