My girlfriend’s stay here ended in a frightening incident. After being sent between two buildings, she was attacked by two men who used chloroform on her. She escaped through an exit door while locked inside, but one of them chased her. A nearby police constable rescued her. This happened a few months ago in Capetown,South Africa, and left her deeply traumatized. It also raised serious concerns for me about safety at The Square Apartments and the criminal activity in the area. I’m urging the community to take this seriously and the listing to be removed from maps and listings so other guests, especially women, aren’t put at risk.

The bed was really comfortable, and the apartment was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We stayed in 318 The Square Apartments, and check-in was seamless. The building manager was helpful and showed us where to go and what to do. There were thoughtful extras too, including a hairdryer, extra towels, a washing machine, a clothes horse and a heater for the lounge, which was welcome because CT was very chilly. We didn’t get a chance to use the balcony since we were busy seeing the sights, but it was lovely. Definitely recommend it.

After walking 12-15 km, that bed felt heavenly. We stayed in 316 and had an easy check-in and a relaxing visit. I liked the well-equipped kitchen, good wifi, fridge and great deck for having coffee. We only went to the pool once, and it never got warm enough for us. We weren’t sure what channels were available, and since we work throughout our holidays, a small desk would have helped. For getting around on foot, we tried to stick to streets with less poverty and figured out a nicer route after one attempt in and out.
