The Trade Boutique Hotel

The reception and cleaning teams made us feel welcome the whole time, even though I didn’t catch the cleaners’ names. Jerome and Heino were especially great at reception, always smiling, kind, professional, and quick to help whenever we needed something. Nothing seemed like a bother to them. The Trade Boutique Hotel was clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. Thanks for making our time in Cape Town so pleasant and memorable. I’d happily stay again.

The rooftop pool was a nice touch, with decent drinks and very friendly staff, though the bar itself is small. Our room was a good size and well equipped, but I wish the bed were a little bigger. The hotel is in a great spot, with Bree Street’s restaurants and bars just around the corner and the city an easy walk away. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One of the two nights, music outside was still loud enough to hear in our room.

The location puts you right in the middle of things, which made exploring the city easy. We had a wonderful stay and felt comfortable from the start. The rooms were beautiful, very clean, well equipped, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with good quality and plenty of choice. We also enjoyed the bar and the rooftop pool bar as places to relax. Everyone was polite, welcoming, friendly, and ready to help. A heartfelt thank you to Jerome and Xolani for their kindness, professionalism, and service, which made the stay especially memorable. We’d definitely come back and recommend The Trade Boutique Hotel.

We had a really nice stay and can recommend it. There are lots of good bars and restaurants within 100m, and the location felt safe during the day. We were advised to use Uber after dark, so we didn’t walk much at night. The staff were professional, kind, and accommodating. We got there around 11am and were offered a welcome drink on the rooftop terrace while the room was being prepared. They let us check in before 12, which was great. Breakfast suited us well: you choose a drink, coffee or juice, and a dish from the menu. We prefer that to a buffet, and found the quality better and the meal more upscale. The room was large, with a big window and a full kitchen. We only used the fridge, microwave, and coffee machine, though it looked like you could cook a whole meal there. The bathroom was spacious; we did wish there was more storage for cosmetics. After the first cleaning, the staff left a rolling bathroom cart without us even asking, which was really thoughtful.
