Tranquil Escape in Sea Point Aureto

I’ve visited The Glen a few times as a day guest to use the pool, and I always end up smiling by the water. The staff seem to have a lot of fun working together, and you can tell they really enjoy their jobs. Their friendly, happy energy makes the whole place feel good. Seeing them around lifts my mood every time 😊

We only had a short stay, but the Glen Boutique hotel team made us feel so welcome. We arrived late after an 11 hour flight and were greeted with complimentary pizza and glasses of sparkling wine, which we really appreciated. There was also a bottle of red wine waiting in our beautifully decorated room. Breakfast was delicious, served out on a lovely terrace. Our airport transfer went smoothly too, and they gave us bottles of water for the journey. Thank you to the team :)

Mark’s warm, hands-on hospitality made our stay feel personal. He’s charming and friendly, and clearly takes pride in making guests feel welcome. The Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa has an easygoing, sophisticated feel, with attentive service that I haven’t found at larger luxury chains. The grounds are beautiful, with peaceful gardens, well-appointed rooms, a refreshing pool and a spa that’s a great break from the city. The decor and breakfast spread both felt thoughtfully done and high-end. The spa treatments and pool deck were highlights, and the location in Sea Point is handy for the promenade and good restaurants. The Glen is a lovely choice for a business trip or a romantic getaway. I can’t recommend it enough and hope to return soon.

We came to Cape Town for our honeymoon, and The Glen Boutique Hotel was our first stop. The staff made us feel so welcome, especially Tabs, who took great care of us. The location felt safe and was handy for walking to the Sea Point Promenade and Mojo Market. Our room was huge, with lots of windows and a balcony looking over the pool. They kept refilling our fruit bowl, and the breakfast choices were enormous. I had avocado toast every day, and the eggs Benedict and breakfast wrap were delicious too. After exploring the city, it was such a treat to use the hot tub, steam room and sauna. Staff laid out extra towels and robes each time, and even added rose petals to the hot tub. We’re so glad we stayed and would definitely come back on our next visit.
