We stayed in the spacious villa, which was tastefully decorated, and found it a great spot to unwind. The staff were lovely and helpful with every request. Breakfast was so good that we looked forward to it each morning. Our 3 y.o daughter enjoyed the books and games in the shared area, as well as the pool. We could get to all the Cape town hot spots easily by car or Uber.

Breakfast was amazing, especially the Eggs Benedict. Our room was comfortable, though the water was shut off intermittently during our stay. I don’t think the hotel was responsible for that. The place is peaceful, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed, with a welcoming feel. Marko and the rest of the team were wonderful. I’d highly recommend Umoya for a relaxing stay at a small hotel.

A group of 15 of us came from the UK and stayed for three nights in early Jan 24. Umoya is a lovely small hotel in Hout Bay, a suburb of Cape Town, and I’d highly recommend it. It had only recently opened and was beautifully appointed. Hotel manager Marco and his assistant Derrick did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We also met Martin, the owner, and his family, who were very welcoming. Breakfast in the lounge was outstanding every morning.

We planned to stay for 5 nights, but my girlfriend and I liked the place enough to add 2 more, making it 7 nights. The rooms and bathroom/shower were especially clean, which my girlfriend appreciated, and I looked forward to the good breakfast every day. Lindeka, Sibu, Derek, Sebastian, and Cooley made us feel warmly welcomed, like family. Manager Marko also did a fantastic job. It was an amazing 5 star experience, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

We miss the five star breakfasts and the views at Umoya. Marco and his team were fantastic and so accommodating to us and our guests, who all had relaxed, wonderful stays. We look forward to bringing our future clients to stay there.
