The garden is what makes this place feel like such a peaceful escape. It’s lush but carefully looked after, with bright flower beds, tidy hedges, a clean patio, and paths that are easy to wander along. You can really see the care the hosts put into it, and stepping through the gate felt calming straight away. The rooms are comfortable, the hospitality is lovely, and the grounds are beautiful. Whether you want a quiet retreat or enjoy being surrounded by plants, it’s a special place. I’ve already told friends and family to stay here. For me, it was a five-star experience.

We came back to Villa Adalbert after nearly two years away, and it was even better than before. Mario’s thoughtfulness and care made the stay so welcoming, while the furnished rooms were comfortable and the immaculate gardens gave us a lovely place to relax. Breakfast was delicious, with eggs from the resident chickens and produce from the garden. Mario presents it all with real panache. If you want a break where the host puts in the effort to make sure you’re comfortable and things are just right, this is a great place to book.

Mario was so thoughtful throughout our stay, even sharing helpful suggestions each day about places we might visit. The food was fantastic, especially his poached eggs, which are a must. The guesthouse is beautiful and very well run. Our room felt warm and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and lovely, and the gardens were immaculate. Thank you for what my husband and I have found to be our most beautiful stay.
