Wanderlust Backpackers

The staff team were friendly and helpful, and the bunks came with towels and blankets, which lots of places don’t provide. It’s a small, quiet, homely place, super clean and very comfortable. There’s a decent wifi connection throughout the house, a nice outdoor spot to relax, and a TV room with a big screen.

My first visit was a good one, so I called ahead one Friday evening while coming from Table View to ask if there was a bed for the night. I was told there was plenty of room and I was welcome. At the gate, though, a woman asked if she could help me. When I explained that I’d called about a bed, she told me to try somewhere else because they were suddenly full. I wasn’t even invited in. Thank goodness 33 South Backpackers were welcoming and friendly. After that blatantly rude, unprofessional treatment, I won’t go anywhere else.

I’ve loved living at Wanderlust for five weeks. The staff are what make this place so amazing, and I’d choose it over any other backpackers in CT. I’m completely in love with it and really recommend staying here.

Staying in obz feels like coming home. It’s a really cool area with lots to see and do, and getting around Cape Town is easy too. You can take an Uber or ask Wanderlust Backpackers to help arrange a trip. The hostel itself is so friendly, and the staff are always there when you need something.
