Wish U Were Here Lodge - Hostel

The room was fairly clean, but the bathrooms and showers were a bit of a walk away. I was supposed to get a towel and was told one would be brought over, but I ended up having to ask for it myself. Some bulbs in the room light weren't working, and the fabric chair had big dark stains. The wood-fired pizza upstairs was good, though the owners had changed.

Breakfast was delicious, and we had a really good stay. The rooms are gorgeous and the whole place looks even better in person than it does in the photos. One bulb gave us trouble, so we used our lamps instead. They should update the pictures.

Please don't stay here. The locks didn't work, and the room was nothing like the listing. We'd booked one with a bath and shower, but there was no bath, and the bed didn't even have bedding on it. It felt very dangerous. This place seems to have changed a lot since it was nicer about 10 years ago. If I could give zero stars, I would. A nicer place nearby took us in, Burmeister.

We were two women and the place felt dodgy as soon as we arrived, though we tried to stay optimistic. The yard we parked in wasn't a good sight, and the room looked nothing like the photos. We left after five minutes and booked somewhere else. Service was very poor, and they said the sheets might be a bit dirty. Really disappointing. I won't compromise on cleanliness.
