We love coming to Zevenwacht for wine tasting. Chrizelle has been one of the best hosts we've had in the Western Cape in years. She's knowledgeable, friendly, and always accommodating. Thanks so much for the wonderful service and delicious wines. ❤️

The small plates were excellent and the service was good, but one menu item wasn't available and there was no replacement, which was disappointing. In winter, if you're seated indoors, you can't enjoy the view of the dam. Zevenwacht restaurant is in a beautiful setting, in a lovely old house, but the building needs a lot of TLC and looks tired and worn. The ladies' toilets weren't up to standard. Cleanliness was a problem too: the dado rail beside our table was thick with dust, as was the saucer under a sad succulent in a teacup, and there were dusty cobwebs hanging from a piece of artwork. The food was the saving grace, but we wouldn't visit again.

The wine tasting was fun and informative. Each wine came with a story, and the staff shared it with such enthusiasm and knowledge that the visit felt personal and memorable. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with views that make you want to linger. We were welcomed with warm smiles and a complimentary glass of wine as soon as we arrived, a classy start to a relaxed, enjoyable experience at Zevenwacht Wine Estate. A lovely option whether you know wine well or just want to unwind in a beautiful place with friendly people. Highly recommended.
