ANEW Hotel Centurion Pretoria Hotel

The manager turned things around for me and comped the meal, a great save. I only had one night to unwind and spend some time alone, so it was a nice experience, though I didn't fully enjoy it. My access card wouldn't work and I was locked outside for a while. It took ages to get it open. Then at dinner, the gentleman helping me didn't suggest a side sauce, and when I asked one of the ladies, she said it would take some time to make. I guess it just wasn't my lucky day. I hope next time they deal more urgently with problems like this for other guests.

The beds were incredible. I haven't slept right through the night in ages, but I did there. My stay at ANEW Hotel was great: the rooms were spotless, very spacious, and modern. The food was delicious, the staff welcoming and friendly, and room service was quick and efficient. I felt comfortable and well looked after the whole time. I'll definitely be back.

The first day went well, and the five of us enjoyed a buffet. But the next day, four of us who ate the beef curry got diarrhoea in the early hours of April 25, 2026. I'm writing this more than 16 hours into a running stomach. I was at least looking forward to the evening buffet, but we got the same meal as at lunch: dry wings, old fried chips, and a poor menu overall. We paid for a buffet, so stick to what we paid for. Hopefully breakfast won't be a disaster!

Breakfast gets top marks, one of the best we've had. But why put a double-size blanket on a king-size bed? Maybe someone there can answer that. The shower is like so many hotel showers, with only half a glass wall, so water gets all over the rest of the bathroom.
