Forever Hotel At Centurion

The steak served here was one of the best I've ever had. The environment was clean, the staff friendly, and the service attentive. The reception and bar staff could be more professional, though. There was a bit too much familiarity.

The room was tiny, the fridge kept making noise, and the blocked sink was another problem. The shower head was around shoulder height and hit my head several times while I showered this morning. I asked for another room but was told they were all booked. I expect a different room today, but I'm already exhausted and restless. I honestly expected much better service from forever hotels. Huge disappointment. If I could rate it negative 5 stars, I would.

The meeting area looked elegant, with a pool in the middle, and the location in Centurion was quiet. The internet was lightning fast. But the service didn't live up to how nice the place looks. I was there for a two day workshop, and the organisation was surprisingly poor. There weren't enough snacks for even three quarters of the attendees, and the electricity kept tripping, making it hard for us to continue. The conference area toilets had been cleaned but were still surprisingly dusty, and water dripped onto the floor from some urinals. To be clear, these were the toilets in the conference area, not the rooms. As a local guide, I'm only sharing what I saw, felt, and heard. By the end of the workshop, the whole guest list was fed up.

The setting was stunning and the food prices were great for Mother's Day. A couple of seats need recovering, and the food presentation wasn't good, but the taste and portion were fine. All in all, it was a great Mother's Day meal.
