After a long day of hiking, the backyard was a beautiful place to sit. The host was friendly and had great recommendations, and breakfast was excellent, with a nice chance to meet other guests. We also loved having a lounge and library outside the bedroom, with plenty of couches and board games. We were the only ones using it, so we played a game there each night with a glass of wine. The bed was very comfortable, just the right firmness, and the heated blanket was perfect. For meals, we recommend the dragon’s restaurant and pub, dragonview lodge, and Swallowfield Restaurant.

Roger was helpful with everything, had great suggestions for the area, and was interesting to talk to. Cathkin Cottage bnb is quiet and peaceful, with clean, well-kept rooms and really yummy breakfasts. It’s close to lots of hiking options too. Highly recommended!

Roger, thanks for the next-level service! Vanessa and I had a lovely stay. The place is well located for exploring the Drakensberg and going on nice hikes. Breakfast was good, and it was fun sharing it with other guests.
