I won't recommend this hotel. There were too few staff to help, and we couldn't find them. The coffee station hadn't been restocked, and there was only one glass. The shower was moldy and affected our lungs, and the TV had no channels. The bed was impossible to sleep on, with steel springs pressing into my back, and I woke up very sore. The floor might have been more comfortable, but there were ants everywhere. At breakfast the next morning, there wasn't a clean table. We were told to sit anywhere and help ourselves, but there were no glasses for juice or bowls and cutlery for yoghurt, so we left without eating. They need more staff, new beds, and to clean the mold. I'll stay somewhere else next time.

The rooms didn't look like the pictures, which was a real disappointment. The waitress was friendly, but the food was awful, dry, and our orders were wrong several times. They were out of basic items, and jacket potatoes came with margerine. McDonalds is better. The manager was defensive and didn't apologize. We won't be back.

The staff were fantastic, helpful, and accommodating, and the Saturday night wine tasting was amazing. This is a beautiful old hotel, though it badly needs maintenance. The common areas, restaurant, and bar are okay, but the rooms aren't great. With some maintenance, it could make for a lovely little weekend getaway.

We loved the location, and the staff were friendly. The spa was good, but our room hadn't been looked after very well. The bed was old and uncomfortable.
