The kids were completely absorbed in the place, while the adults got a real sense of calm. Our days were spent out in the landscape and evenings ended with stories around the fire. Three Tree Hill feels like a thoughtfully put together home, not a formal hotel, and the history sits naturally alongside the hospitality. The food and the staff's genuine warmth made every detail feel considered. It’s hard to describe how much my family enjoyed it without underselling it. This is a stay that lingers, and we’ll be talking about it for ages.

The walking safari with Cheryl will probably remain the highlight of our two-week South Africa trip. The views were incredible, and every meal was delicious. We felt welcomed like honored regulars, even though the weather was dreadful when we arrived. Everyone was friendly and knew their stuff. They also got my phone charger back to me, which I really appreciated. We loved the whole two-night stay.

We’ve visited twice and expect to be back again soon. Cheryl and her team make such friendly, wonderful hosts. The trails and remarkable landscape are beautiful, and every cottage has lovely views. Inside, the tasteful decor suits the historic setting, and the beds are among the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. Meals throughout the day, from breakfast and lunch to tea, sundowners, and dinner, are made with care, quality ingredients, and real dedication. The service is second to none. We recommend Three Tree Hill wholeheartedly.

The rooms have both winter and summer comforts covered, and there are activities for the whole family. We woke to birds calling in the valley, then had great food and helpful staff. An amazing place.
