We were a group of 12 men on a golf tour, and Highland gate was quite a drive away. Still, it was absolutely worth it. The farm is beautiful, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Thanks, Debbie. We’d come back anytime.

The view from this impressive house is spectacular, and the road in is in good shape, even though the drive is around 10k. It’s a great spot for privacy and getting away from the beaten path, while still being about 15 minutes from civilization. We were there on a business trip with more than 10 people, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped, so we brought coolers of food and drinks and cooked most of our meals without any problems. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful.

We had the lodge for the long weekend with 11 people, and it never felt crowded because the house is so spacious. Wildlife roams freely around this beautiful setting. The road to the house is a single cement-paved lane, but most vehicles can manage it. The staff were awesome, and Mike was very professional as manager. Thanks, Amberley, for a great weekend.

The setting is exquisite, with wide open views, mountains, wildlife as far as you can see, and dams full of fish. Inside, there’s a huge kitchen, roaring fires, deep couches, fleecy blankets, and cosy beds. It’s perfect for a large group wanting room and quiet. Elias and Sarah-Jane were an unexpected bonus, discreetly taking care of everything around the house so we barely had to lift a finger. You may not want to leave, so bring all the food and drinks you need. Town isn’t a quick stop-in, and you probably won’t be longing to go there. I can imagine the pool would be lovely in summer.

The sunrises, the wildlife, and those magnificent views made our weekend at Amberley Mountain Lodge better than we’d even hoped. It’s pure magic, and our group will definitely return. We had the best time!
