You can hear people going past on the street, but apart from that it's a good place.

The place was stunning and we enjoyed the stay, but the Valentine room is linked to another unit. We had a family with two kids next door, which wasn't ideal for a rare first trip away without our own kids in two years. We had specifically asked for a standalone unit, so I wouldn't suggest this room if you're after a romantic weekend.

We had a great time at Kliphuisjes and found it cosy and comfortable. Andrew, the owner, even arranged special parking for my motorcycle, which I really appreciated. We'll definitely come back.

After a long day driving, we got a friendly welcome when we stopped in Dullstroom and stayed in Valentine. On the way back through Bots and Zambia, sleeping in the beautiful new Stargazer suite was a real relief. The property is beautifully cared for. Highly recommended!

Andrew and his family made us feel very welcome. They even let me check in early on the first day, which gave me an extra day in Dullstroom. I was unsure at first how all the dogs would get along, but that worry soon went away. Nearly every guest had a dog, and the place really is pet friendly. The cottages are immaculate and full of thoughtful details. A Christmas tree, some festive touches and sherry as a welcome drink made a difference. I also loved the whimsical kitchen-in-a-cupboard. Everything matched the promotional material, and I'll certainly be back 👍🏻
