Presidential Boutique Hotel

Breakfast was the best part of the visit, thanks to the great waitresses and the food. I arrived with high expectations, but there was no one at reception. We found a man in the kitchen after looking around, then checked in without trouble and went to our room. When we needed a couple of wine glasses, again we couldn’t find anyone. Around 2 a.m., the downlights in the room began flashing like a strobe. It continued for hours, until the sun came up. We showed reception a video when we reported it, and were told, “Oh, that’s strange.” We paid a lot for a room with no view and flashing lights.

There’s no buffet breakfast, but you can choose from a wide range of dishes made fresh, which I prefer to a buffet. The location is good, and the rooms are brilliant. Great people, food, and service. The staff keep going the extra mile. I’ll visit again!

I was so disappointed. When I arrived to check in, I was told my reservation had been cancelled. Three days before my arrival, I’d called to make sure everything was still okay, and the woman I spoke to said I could pay when I got to the guesthouse. I was told a group had booked the same dates, so it seems they had to make room for them.

The service was terrible. You can hear the manager badmouthing the staff. I saw them send the chef in training to do garden and pool work while he was still preparing food. The way staff are treated feels exploitative, and it made me really uncomfortable.
