Essenwood House

We felt very unsafe when all the property doors were left open last night. A delivery driver was allowed to come right to our room, and we were all women. The pool wasn't clean, so we couldn't use it. Our rooms were changed several times because one door wouldn't lock from outside and a bathroom door wouldn't close. The policy said breakfast could be ordered, but after we checked in, we were told none was available. If we'd known, we would have looked for another apartment. There wasn't enough toilet paper, and when we called for more, nobody answered. Reception was closed when we went there. We were later told they don't answer calls until 8 in the morning. What happens in an emergency when no one is available? We didn't sleep at all because the next room played loud music until early morning, with screaming all night too. We called the number provided, but no one picked up, so there was nobody to deal with it. I'm extremely unhappy and demand a full refund. I want to check out, and I want the OTA and host to call me right away to discuss this.

My stay was really poor. The place was dirty and seemed barely looked after, and the staff's manner was disappointing. The owner must know what things are like. They should either sell it so it can be brought back to its former glory or put in the effort to do better.

The staff were accommodating, and security felt very good. The house must once have been exceptionally beautiful, but now everything looks tired and could use maintenance. It could be cleaner too. I wouldn't walk alone on a Sunday, though Ubers were cheap and easy to find.

We arrived at 10pm and there were no clean towels. The WhatsApp number didn't answer, and there was no hot water either. The rooms felt like a Tinder date gone wrong, lol. Don't stay here!
