Luxurious Beach Apartment - The Sails

The apartment itself is beautiful, and the pool booking worked well. We arranged our hour at the security desk beforehand and had the pool to ourselves without interruption. The Covid-19 regulations were also good. But the rest of this stay at The Sails was awful, and we stayed only because we had no choice. After check-in time, we waited downstairs by security for around 30 to 45 minutes. We had to stand because there were no reception couches, and the woman helping us kept going back and forth as if she hadn't known we were coming. The service was poor. The security guard was the only friendly and helpful person. The apartment hadn't been cleaned properly. The tables and chairs and balcony were dirty, and the curtains weren't fitted correctly on the rail. The bed was old and made an irritating noise. At night, we found that the kitchen and sitting room lights didn't work. I called the woman, but she said she was off duty and nobody else could help, so we spent the whole weekend in a dark kitchen and sitting room. DStv also wasn't working. Netflix did work, and she arranged for DStv to be fixed the next day because the owner wasn't around. She fixed the curtains, left the hooks on the table, and never came back. Our towels were never changed. This place needs serious attention, especially the cleanliness and service, which were very poor. The bed and torn couches also need to be dealt with. The setup is lovely, but the owner needs to make changes or risk losing more customers. I definitely won't return.

The views were great, and the accommodation was really convenient for Ushaka marine world, the beach, and moses Mabhida stadium.

Good apartments for affordable rates, in a great area. The building feels secure too. 🌟

The views and location are beautiful, but the place itself is in a sorry state. The bathroom doesn't drain properly, there's mold on the walls, and the TV has a lot of dead pixels. It needs serious attention. Really disappointed.
