La Coscello Guest House

I booked the day before for a week and confirmed on WhatsApp. On the day I was due to arrive, I asked how late I could check in because I was working until around 9pm. At 6pm they told me check-in closed at 7pm and gave me two numbers for places I could stay instead. I said I'd come over right then and head back to work, but they asked if I had ID. I said I had my driver's license, and was told I couldn't stay because they required an ID to check in. It would've been nice to know that 24 hours earlier. Don't waste your time with this place.

The hostess was polite, and breakfast was really enjoyable. My room was cozy, neat, and clean, and I enjoyed my time there. It wasn't hard to find, though traffic was heavy at that time of day. I'll definitely go back.

For what it costs, this room wasn't worth it. It was cold, and the electric blanket was the only thing that gave off any heat. The gas shower ran cold, the floors were tiled, and there weren't any bathroom mats. A general worker also ate breakfast at my door and left his dishes there.

It's only been two days since I checked in, and they've already made me feel so at home. The team is amazing, friendly, and very professional, with service up to standard and perfect accommodation. It doesn't even feel like a B&B. Thank you so much for making me feel like I'm still in Durban 💃💃.
