Dieu Donné Vineyard Self-Catering Cottages

We had one of the best places to stay on our four week trip through South Africa. The pool view was unbeatable, and from there the scenery was breathtaking. The location was perfect, close to restaurants but still quiet and peaceful. Service was so kind, and we loved the beautiful rooms, lovely king size bed, and wonderful bathroom. This place is magical, 10/10!

We spent two lovely nights here for our anniversary. When the staff heard about it, they surprised us with champagne and rose petals on the bed, which was really sweet. Our room and huge bathroom were very comfortable, and the balcony looked out over the vineyards and valley. We also had the best shower either of us has ever had. Breakfast was nice, though nothing special, and a few things could be improved, like the hollandaise sauce. We highly recommend staying here to explore Franschoek and the surrounding vineyards. For a couple of nights, we'd ask for an upstairs room with a balcony.

The cottage was modern, spotless, and comfortable, with a good bed, good AC, and a nice strong shower. The views were stunning, and the staff were kind every time we spoke with them. Service went beyond what we expected. My one problem was the very poor WiFi in the cottage. I work remotely, and the speed was under 1.5 Mbps, with a connection only in the kitchen. The main rooms and reception had a really good connection, so I spent some time there, and also found a really nice cafe to work from.

The rooms were very comfortable, though we probably had the worst one, right beside reception. Staff were very friendly, and breakfast was great, with several cooked choices plus a continental buffet. The pool area has incredible valley views, and the location is beautiful. You also get a large discount at the vineyard next door. I'd highly recommend it if you're doing the wine tram.
