Philda gave us great recommendations and was an outstanding hostess. We were reluctant to leave our immaculate double room. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from quality linen and towels to tea and coffee, fresh flowers, and fragrant amenities. The heritage manor house sits on a historic George property, surrounded by an impressive garden that Philda’s husband, Desmond, created.

The rooms are well equipped, and the garden Desmond has cultivated is stunning. Philda warmly invites you to share her beautiful home, and the hospitality from both of them was so kind and memorable. Thank you for having us.

The garden alone is a masterpiece. Hearing the owner talk about his work and vision made us appreciate it even more. It’s a beautiful space, laid out in the European style you often see at palaces and royal residences, with outdoor seating and excellent breakfast. The historic place has been renovated beautifully and feels comfortable, with amazing views and friendly owners. It’s iconic, worth the experience, and left us with great memories. It deserves its five-star status.

We had the best stay at this gorgeous guest house. The room was big and beautiful, the garden stunning, and our hosts were friendly from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended, and thanks so much for having us :)

We visited during an open garden event and loved this spacious English-style garden. It’s over a hundred years old and the owner is still developing it. He personally took time to show us around and talk about the exotic and local plants.
