The hotel has a lovely country feel and is nicely decorated. The chef cooks a good steak and serves generous breakfast portions. The staff really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, and nothing seemed too much to ask. I’ve found my place to stay in George.

The breakfasts were delicious, thanks to the chef and her team. The friendly, happy staff gave us a warm welcome and took extra care to find us the perfect room and make sure our needs were met. We had a wonderful stay at Far Hills Country Hotel, and they made it unforgettable. We’ll definitely book again.

A lovely old-style hotel stay, with clean, tidy rooms. It could use a few finer touches, and it’d be good to see everyone fully committed.

We came for a wedding and the scenery was spectacular for photos. The food arrived on time and tasted great, and the pool area was beautiful. The place is wheelchair friendly, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The gardens, bathrooms, and stylish furniture were all great. I’m sorry we didn’t stay overnight. Do yourself a favour and stop here, even if it’s just for tea.

I arrived to check in at 15:30, but was told my room wasn’t ready and would take about 30 minutes. After an hour and a half, I asked again and was still told no. I said I’d return around 20:00 after dinner with friends, but the room still wasn’t ready when I got back. The walkway lights near my room weren’t working either, and I fell down some stairs. The rooms are also a little outdated. George and the surrounding area are great, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
