The pool was lovely, with a very strict but kind caretaker, and the restaurant's delicious pizzas went down well with everyone. We had a great time here with family and friends. The en suite double rooms are amazing, better than many hotel rooms we've stayed in, with quality bedding and all the amenities we needed. The kitchen is well equipped too, so you won't be short of anything if you want to cook. Can't wait to visit again!

We meant to camp here for three months, but ended up staying a month longer and cancelling another appointment. It has the best long-term camping price in South Africa. Pensioners get a free lunch once a week with sandwiches, pudding, cake and coffee, plus special rates at the restaurant. They really do treat you like royalty. The campsite is right in nature, with a river and mountains that made us wonder what country we were in. The landscape even felt like a small Swiss village, though it looks more like Vietnam in places. There are birds, little rabbits and other animals all around, and being able to camp with our four-legged fur babies made the stay unforgettable. Areena is committed to giving campers a great time at a good price. The staff were the best, from the owner and the young, good-looking office girls to all the other workers. Everyone was friendly, ready to help with a big smile, and had a good sense of humour. The ablutions were cleaned and mopped every day, and never ran out of toilet paper or hand soap. AREENA WANTS YOU THERE. :)

There was loads for everyone to do here, from quad biking, fishing and hikes to giraffe encounters, paintball, zip lines, game drives and boat cruises. Add dining and those amazing views, with nature all around, and it made for a wonderful stay. The resort was very well managed, and the staff were super friendly.

The food is lovely and nicely priced, and the staff were courteous. There are several activities, good game animals to view, and the service was good. I can't give it five stars because the South African flag is old and ripped, with shreds compared with the others. I hope they take care of it.

Each activity was great, but poor coordination and efficiency messed up our day. The restaurant made it impossible to book activities even though we left an hour to do it. We asked for latitude, but ended up waiting an extra hour through no fault of ours. People were blaming each other. The place is well maintained, the food is great, and the people are friendly.
