The flat was neat, clean and felt safe, and it was calm and quiet all night, with no drunk people around. Check-in felt a bit awkward: the lady hurried us to the room and disappeared, and I think she may have been cleaning staff heading home. The bedsheet was a little small for the mattress and came loose during the night, so a larger one would fit better. Otherwise, it was a very nice place for an overnight stay, with a serene atmosphere that made for a relaxing night's sleep. I'd visit again if I needed to.

Our room was clean and had enough space, and the guesthouse is a short walk from the beach. The parking felt secure, though spaces were limited at night. We were downstairs, and the footsteps from the room above were really loud late at night and early in the morning. There’s no air-conditioning.

The bathroom was tiny, with no mirror, though the double-sided tape from where one had been was still stuck on the wall. The toilet seat was broken, and the shower floor was dirty with no cleaning products available. When we opened the door, there was a sewer smell and a cigarette smell. The stairs up to the room felt like a huge safety hazard, and they charged R20 extra for paying by card. The cupboard doors were crooked and wouldn’t close. The bedding was very poor quality, and the curtains were so thin you could see straight through them even in daylight, leaving no privacy. There was nowhere to fill the kettle except in the shower. The mugs didn’t match, and one had a cracked handle that looked ready to break off. You won’t see us again, and we don’t recommend staying here.
